Oxand Saas – From 1 Developer to a Full Engineering Team
The Challenge
Oxand builds and maintains specialized software for infrastructure asset management - a domain where reliability and
precision are critical. As their product matured and their client base grew, they set an ambitious target: scale up their engineering capacity, tighten quality standards, and bring bug response time down to match the pace of a fast-moving product team.
Their internal team was focused on driving the roadmap forward. What they needed was a reliable engineering extension that
could own quality and responsiveness — reducing resolution time without pulling attention away from new development.
The challenge wasn't a crisis. It was a growth decision.
The Goal
Reinforce Oxand's engineering capacity with skilled developers who could hit the ground running - reducing the bug backlog
to an acceptable response time, stabilising the product, and freeing the core team to focus on building new features.
The relationship had to be built on trust: starting small, proving the value, and scaling only when confidence was established on both sides.
Our Solution
The engagement started with a single developer - deliberately. Oxand wanted to test the collaboration before committing to
more. Within the first weeks, that developer was fully integrated into the team's workflow, codebase, and communication culture.
The results spoke for themselves. Bug response and resolution time dropped sharply. Confidence grew. The team expanded
progressively to three developers, then a dedicated QA engineer to systematise testing and catch regressions before they reached production, and finally a Run team in Morocco handling ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and support.
Each addition was driven by demonstrated trust, not a contract. Symbioz IT became a long-term engineering partner embedded in Oxand's operations - not a vendor delivering tickets from a distance.
Results
The most visible result is the bug backlog: what once took up to3 months to address is now resolved
within 1 week- a 12x improvement in response and fix time.
Oxand went from a single augmented developer to a complete Morocco-based engineering unit: 3 developers, a QA engineer, and a Run team - all operating as a seamless extension of their Paris team.
Product stability improved significantly, client-reported issues are handled with a clear SLA, and the core team regained the capacity to focus on product roadmap rather than firefighting.
What started as a trial with one developer became one of our most trusted long-term partnerships.
